Being a novice runner i was struggling to get a good idea of pacing and this watch sorts all that out for me. I'll admit to not playing about too much with the watch so i'm sure it'll do loads more things that i haven't yet discovered but so far i have no complaints, oh, only 1 i'm afraid and that is it doesn't light up at night so you have to wait until you're near a street lamp to read the display. After watching the price of this item (Garmin Forerunner 305) for a few months and it didn't come down any, I decided to take the plunge and buy it.
Spending my hard earned cash - seemed to be the inspiration that I needed. Now I've got out and have started running again.
Heart sensor didn't seem to work at first, so I google'd it and found the explanation. It doesn't work on dry skin, so I splashed some water on my chest and now its fine.

I was possitive surprised with this product. its the swiss army tool for runners, bikers and others.
Reliable, very fast GPS signal, amazing export to Google Earth.
I really loved it.

Excellent, exactly what i wanted it for, picks up GIS signal within 30 secs if you stand externally in open space. Backlight for running in dark, indicates when you have ran a certain distance, perfect.
Rating:  - Frustrating Forerunner
I bought this product to make dog walking more interesting rather than for running. It is really good to get home and show my wife where I have been, because I can easily export the route I have taken to Google Earth.
