Rating:  - you need a lead to use this properly!
GPS is not supplied with a lead or cable which you need for geo cashing, which i bought it for. I had to order one, another £18, and was really annoyed it wasent clear when i bought it that it was not supplied. A very upset daughter, and mum! if you are purchasing get all the parts you need. Not as cheap as first appears!
Rating:  - Real Value for Money
It took me a few hours to really get to know this unit. It does everything Garmin claim, works perfectly down to 10 feet accuracy and is quite simple to use. If you don't need maps and merely want to enter waypoints and find them again easily, either directly or via a route, then this unit will not disappoint you. It really is value for money !!

Just bought the garmin etrex H from amazon, i looked on auction sites but found that when you added the postage it only cost a fiver less than the new guaranteed one i bought from amazon postage free. used it on a trip to the lake district recently and found it fairly useful as you can setit to give you OS grid refs

I had been contemplating getting one of these for a while and then my lovely work colleagues bought me one! It is fantastic if you know what you want it for. If you want an electronic map it's no good. If you want to find where you are on a paper map it's great. If you want to plot routes on [...] and then follow them on your bike or walking/running, then it's fantastic. This item is bottom of the range, yes, but it performs very well and does what it's supposed to do. Easy to mark waypoints, navigate to waypoints, create routes etc.
If you're a beginner geocacher, trust me, buy this!
