Rating: - GREAT FOR DAY-TO-DAY USE IN THE UK
I bought this a couple of months ago and have waited to review it, so I could check it out over a period of time. As others have said, it has many good features. I particularly like the fact that you can just leave it plugged in and it fires up in a few seconds as soon as you switch the car on. I bought this to replace an old Snooper Indago which really worked best if switched off after each journey and battery turned off as well. The Indago also only had a standard "small" screen. It's a good product and do all it's required to do.
Only problem I have with this is start up time (connection to satellite). It takes couple of mins to connect, and practically most of time it is very difficult to wait in car for it to connect to satellite before you start moving.

Puzzled by the differences with Tom Tom One initially but got used to it. Much prefer the wide screen. Haven't figured out the traffic function yet, but unlike the Tom Tom I was able to download a new map without it telling me I had no space. Happy so far!

This is my first sat nav purchased and I found it so easy to use, any minor set up problems are sorted out on the help file built into it, easy peasy and could not be easier, I contacted Garmin before purchase to make sure it was suitable with downloads from my windows XP computer programme and found customer services so very very good, excellent in fact as anything I could not find on the help file (optional SD card type and size) was replied to on the same day !! exceptional service and a great product ... Rating: - Good product but trouble installing free map update
The Garmin is neat, compact and solidly built. I have not had occasion to reap the benefits of the 'Traffic' function yet.
Some nice add-on features on the Garmin website, including the ability to record your own voice directions - I am looking for someone who can do a good Rab C. Nesbit impersonation!
Only real annoyance so far is that there is not enough memory available on the Garmin to download the free map update of full Europe - you need to buy a SD card to download onto - ... Read More
